The goal of Sun Lakes Senior Softball Association (SLSSA) is to provide a recreational outlet enabling men and women over the age of 50 to enjoy the game of slow pitch softball. While competitiveness is a given, participants also experience camaraderie and exercise with an emphasis on player safety.
Games are played at the Field of Dreams ballpark located at the corner of Price and Riggs Roads in Sun Lakes, AZ. We are supported by many local businesses and the efforts of numerous volunteers who display an extraordinary amount of commitment and hard work, ensuring our activities are successful.
We have two divisions of four teams each playing games on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from late October to mid-April. The Summer league consists of five or six teams. Informal pick-up games are played on Saturdays throughout the year. Ladies team, the Sun Lakes Sluggers, play throughout the valley. Practices start late Fall and league play is January through March.
