Thank you to those residents who have already voted. We appreciate you taking the time to learn about this important issue in front of you for a vote. As of Tuesday, December 6th, we have had 2,877 votes submitted (72.1% of the eligible homeowners). Have your voice count and vote! We need everyone to participate in this important vote.

1. If I vote "yes," will I receive a bill/assessment for the FACE Fund?
No. This is only for new buyers coming into IronOaks, purchasing a home.

2. What will be done with the money?
At this point, Pickleball lights have been identified as the next project. After that, the Master Plan Committee, along with Focus groups of homeowners, will be looking at Poolside, the main pool, and the Oakwood Golf Patio.

3. If the vote passes, will my dues go up? NO. Your HOA dues are determined annually by management and your HOA Board to cover department expenses, the reserve fund items, and some capital expenditures.

Join the Diamond Lake homeowners for an evening walk enjoying music and views of the beautiful luminaries surrounding the lake. Food and cash donations go to support AZCEND, a local Chandler Food Bank. Last year, $4,458 was raised, along with over 6,000 pounds of food donated. It's a beautiful sight, and a great way to visit with neighbors.

Diamond Lake is located in the Northwest corner of Oakwood (Unit 36C), off of Diamond Drive and Desert Wind. Signage will be in place to assist with directions and parking during the event.

Thanks to those who nominated a volunteer for this year's Crystal Awards by December 2nd.

The selection committee will be making the announcement soon regarding the recipients who will be honored at a gala dinner on March 12th in the Oakwood Ballroom. Tickets will go on sale at the end of January.

Bus departs today, Thursday, at 3:00pm, so if you're interested in attending, act quickly - this will be a fun outing! Check at the Oakwood Concierge and we hope to have you join! Cost is $89 plus tax per person.

These pools will be closed all day on Wednesday, December 14th, for leak detection. The pools will reopen on Thursday, December 15th, at their normal hours.

Recently a call was held with John Reyhons, General Manager; John Porter, Resident and Intel Liasson;  Paula Ferguson, Board Member; Lynelle Glysson, Exec. Director Community Services; Michele Renahan, Communications Director; Jennifer Sanchez and Brenda Peralta from Intel. We received updates on:

• The wall running between Intel and the homes in Units 34, 36, and 36 C-Anticipated to be 90% complete by the 1st quarter of 2023. A section of the wall as well as the two ends (East and West) will remain open to be access points for tree removal once approved. Nesting eagles continue to stall the removal of the dead trees.
• The wall will be stained, but will not have green or have stucco applied.
• Puddling of water is being looked at. We want to mitigate mosquito issues during the rainy monsoon season.
• Speed control measures on Price Rd continue to be in place. A speed trailer has been set up and will be moved closer to the homes. Intel is working with the county on reducing the speed limit along that entire stretch of road to 25 mph (from 35 mph).

The Arizona Rangers presented at the recent Board Workshop. They discussed their training protocol and their work in the surrounding communities, as well as in IronOaks. Their charitable work was also discussed. The "Shop with a Cop" program is one they are especially proud of, as they will be working with up to 75 children to shop with them for the holidays. Each child works with one of the Rangers to pick out presents and spend some time with what may be the only adult law enforcement representative they have ever experienced in a positive light. Closures will resume at 6:00am on Saturday, December 10th, and will continue through 6:00pm on Sunday, December 11th.

Key points about the closure:

• Residents will not be able to travel west on Chaparral Road starting from Blue Ridge Road. The road is closed to traffic going west at that point.
• Residents will not be able to travel North or South on Dobson Road. The road is closed to traffic both ways starting at Canyon Road.
• Residents traveling north on Dobson Road from the Sun Lakes area must turn right (east) on Chaparral Road, as the road is closed traveling north.

This will affect ALL auto and bike traffic. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated and will be allowed to access to IronOaks via the N. Dobson gate if needed.

If you do not live in IronOaks, your pricing will vary and availability for golf memberships may be limited. The Lifestyle membership is only available to IronOaks homeowners and residents.

On Wednesday, December 7th, the CSD hosted an Open House showing anyone who wanted to stop by all the options for paying their annual HOA dues. 

If you were unable to attend, there are several ways to pay your IronOaks annual dues, including:

1. Setting up your payments through a secured online payment portal
2. Using your banking institution
3. Mailing / delivering a check or cash

IronOaks is now offering these new payment options for your annual HOA Dues, as the previous ACH method has been discontinued. A “How-To” instructional page is available here.

Our homeowners are our priority, and we want to make sure you always have a seat at the table at Stone & Barrel. If you plan on joining us - during peak times, or even when it's slow - give us a quick call a couple of days ahead of time. This helps us during the slow times to schedule staff efficiently, and during peak times, you have a better chance of getting a table. Remember, while Grill on the Green is closed for remodel, we are even busier than normal during those peak times of 5:00pm-6:00pm. The skill set/experience we are seeking includes strategic planning, benchmarking, demographics, real estate, financial planning and analysis, measurement systems and related processes, facilities management, and HOA operation. Additionally, an engineering background and strategic and decisive decision-making abilities are preferred. The ability to work with the other members of the committee to reach consensus about issues is essential.
