Clean and Crack Seal

Cleaning and crack sealing is a process to clean debris out of the street cracks and to seal them, preventing expansion of the crack. Streets will not be closed during this process, and the material used to seal the cracks becomes dry and able to be driven on within seconds.

The following units throughout the community will be sealed in the timeframes shown:

  • Units 37 and 46A | October 21st - 22nd (Red on the map below)
  • Units 27, 27A, 27B, 28 and 28A | October 25th - 27th (Purple on the map below)

Check out the map! (PDF)

Please note: Timing and units may be adjusted due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. We appreciate your patience during this process. Please be cautious of the trucks and men working during this time.

Fitness Pool Closure

Replacement of the pump and filter will start on Tuesday October 26th. We chose this date because Monday is the busiest day in the Fitness Center, and we would like to give as much lead time as possible about the pool closing. It is expected that the repairs will be completed by November 5th at the latest. We appreciate everyone’s patience, and we will push to complete the work ahead of schedule.

This will impact our lap swimmers and our very popular AQUA classes. We would like to move all AQUA classes to the main pool during these repairs. Heather will also take the opportunity to have a vacation from classes for a few days.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

SRP’s High-Tech Interconnect Project (HIP) will have Public Hearings on its Application filed with the Arizona Corporation Commission

SRP is working with the City of Chandler and Intel on the High-Tech Interconnect Project (HIP), a proposed transmission project that is required to provide reliable power to the recently announced $20 billion expansion of Intel’s Chandler campus. The Intel expansion is reported to be the largest private investment in Arizona history and will be a major economic boost for Chandler, the region and the state, providing thousands of new high-paying jobs.

The HIP consists of both overhead and underground transmission line segments; however, the subject of this Application consists of only the overhead segments (as shown on the map) and includes an overhead double-circuit 230 kV transmission line from the existing Henshaw Substation to Intel’s Ocotillo Campus, a new RS-28 substation to be constructed on Intel’s Ocotillo Campus, and an overhead transition corridor that includes up to two new overhead single-circuit 230 kV transmission lines that will exit Schrader Substation, one along the south side of the substation and one along the north side.

SRP filed an Application for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility (CEC) with the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) on September 28th, 2021. A PUBLIC HEARING WILL BE HELD before the Arizona Power Plant and Transmission Line Siting Committee (Committee) regarding the Application authorizing construction of the HIP.

The hearing on the Application will be held starting on
November 8th, 2021, at 1:00pm.

Comment Card Overview

There were a total of 25 comment cards. Five were positive, one was negative, and nineteen were neutral. A few comments came in really loving the Orange Chicken Special last week. Others congratulated Ross and Team on the courses, overseed looks amazing. Finally, there was a "thank you" to Patrol for closing a garage after the homeowner left on a trip. The negative comment was regarding golf, saying the overseed cutting caused a lot of debris in his pool. Finally, the neutral comments came in with the theme of the watering on the walking paths getting walkers wet in their early morning walks. BlueStar's landscaping team addressed this issue and have adjusted the watering times.
