Golf Carts and Low Speed Vehicles (LSV)

IronOaks Rules and Regulations state, “Only licensed drivers are permitted to operate a motorized vehicle” and “Vehicles must be operated only on paved roads and parking lots. Driving off-road is prohibited except for golf carts being used for golf activities”.  Children un-licensed under the age of 15 should not be operating a golf cart, nor should a minor be “driving” when on the lap of an adult operating a golf cart. We have had near accidents reported recently. It is important to keep everyone safe while on our streets.

Ironwood Clubhouse Pool Closed October 18th - 28th

This pool will be closed while the vendor repairs the pool deck and the shower.  We will keep you informed should the pool be able to be opened sooner.

Poolside Community Center Homeowner Forums Recap

Thank you to the 325 homeowners who joined us the week of October 2nd for the Poolside renovation feedback meetings.

The Poolside facility is a key structure on the IronOaks campus, in the area of the Clubhouse, golf, fitness, and arts buildings. It has cycled through several identities and has not had a focused purpose.

As an asset to the HOA, it’s important to maximize building use in the community. The Master Planning Committee has worked through several design iterations after soliciting homeowners' and architectural feedback. The objective is to convert the building into a multi-purpose community center that makes available more activities to more homeowners, while offering current game players a fresh area for tabletop games.

From homeowner input and opinions expressed last week, we will continue to narrow the design. At the October 10th Master Planning Committee meeting, the considerations as expressed by the homeowners for the renovation were reviewed. The popular ideas will be shared with the architect and designer.

With the homeowner input, we’re getting close to a final rendering to present to homeowners during November 14th and 16th town halls.  We also expect to present costs and funding models. Watch for more information about these town halls.

In the long term, when the exterior main pool area is renovated in a future master plan phase, the combined Poolside/Main Pool complex will be an exciting focal point for our community. These investments are important to the value of the entire community. We appreciate your support of the vision for the future of IronOaks.

Arizona Humane Society’s Pet of the Week: Meet Biff

Biff's heart is as big as his personality! This handsome American Staffordshire Terrier mix loves to live life to the fullest. He absolutely loves to run and play. At 2-years-old, he still has lots of puppy-like energy. He greets everyone he meets with an emphatic tail wag and lots of puppy kisses. He's now looking for a loving home after getting a rough start in life. Earlier this year, Biff was rescued by one of the Arizona Humane Society's Emergency Animal Medical Technicians after he was found as an injured stray. The veterinary team in AHS' Trauma Hospital treated his injured leg and got him on the road to recovery. Now that he is all healed up, Biff is ready to sniff out a new home.

Aside from being handsome and playful, Biff is also extremely smart. AHS' staff and volunteers have already taught him basic commands like "sit" and "down". He's also learned to play fetch! Biff is very eager to learn, and he is also treat-motivated, so we think he will be very easy to train. Biff would love to find an active family that can keep up with his energy level. He would be a perfect hiking companion or running buddy. Biff's enthusiastic greetings can be a bit overwhelming to other pets at first. He will need to meet any other dogs in his new home to make sure it's a perfect match. He would do best in a home without cats or small animals. Learn more about Biff and how to adopt him at azhumane.org/adopt.
