Mark your calendars! Beginning in October, overseed will begin.  During the golf course closures, the restaurants will be observing altered hours of operation, as follows:

Grill on the Green (during overseed 9/25-10/15)

• Monday-Friday: 3:00pm-9:00pm
• Saturday-Sunday: 10:00am-9:00pm

Grill on the Green (effective 10/16/23 - after overseed)

• Monday-Friday: 11:00am-9:00pm
• Saturday: 10:00am-9:00pm
• Sunday: 10:00am-8:00pm

Stone & Barrel (effective 10/9/23 - same during overseed & after)

• Monday-Saturday: 11:00am-9:000pm
• Sunday: 10:00am-8:00pm

The Fitness Center continues to be closed. Work completed includes painting, demolition of current flooring, and stripping the hostess desk and display. Next, rubberized flooring will be installed, as well as new flooring in other areas before the equipment is moved back in. At this point we're planning a fun “Reveal” for both the Fitness Center and the Pickleball lights on September 26th for our homeowners. Mark your calendars now and RSVP to the Concierge at 480.317.3600 so we know how many to expect.

If you need a temporary location to work out, one of the options is Optum Community Center. Please note that it's free to use, but you must attend an orientation on using the gym equipment prior to using the facility. For more information, please call them at 877.901.4436

Work continues in the Ballroom. Texturing and painting are completed. We are waiting for the wallpaper to come in and be installed. Lighting is being installed, including the large focal point chandelier in the center of the room (pictured).  We're excited for you to see the results when it's all complete! Trivia is slated to begin again on September 18th.

The Bradford Room is currently being refreshed and is closed through September 27th. Currently the team is re-texturing walls. Painting, flooring, and lighting changes will be taking place. This project is a Reserve Fund project and is part of RBA23-064.

This is a FACE fund project.  Make plans to attend the Pickleball Light and Fitness Refresh Reveal on September 26th from 6:00pm-7:00pm! RSVP to the Concierge at 480.317.3600.

This portion of the Department will be closed for the installation of workstations. Thank you for your patience during this time.

The landscaping team will start lowering mow heights in preparation for overseeding. You may see the grass start “yellowing” in the coming weeks.

The Sun Lakes community phone book is being updated now for 2024. If you're new to the community or if there has been change in your address or phone numbers, you can fill out this form and return it to Robson publishing for them to update next year’s listing.  Deadline to submit these changes is October 2nd.

Ruby is the sweetest senior pup you'll ever meet. This beautiful 7-year-old German Shepherd mix gets along with absolutely everyone. She loves being around her human friends and greets everyone she meets with a big tail wag, including kids. She came to the Arizona Humane Society after her former owner was no longer able to care for her. The staff and volunteers have all fallen in love with Ruby and we think you'll agree, she's practically perfect. Her only "flaw" is that she's afraid of thunderstorms. She would like to find a loving family who will comfort her through summer storms and play with her every other day of the year too. Ruby is a large dog who weighs about 85 pounds. She would love to accompany her new family on daily walks around the neighborhood, where she can greet all the neighbors while enjoying a little bit of exercise. Ruby is waiting to meet her new family at the Arizona Humane Society's South Mountain campus. Learn more about Ruby and how to adopt her at azhumane.org/adopt.
