Tech Tip of the Week
Update your profile on IronOaksAZ.com.
Start by logging in with your username and password. On the Homepage, you will see “My Profile.” Make sure your information is correct - phone numbers; “other” mailing address, email address, etc. Updates you make will be used when we export the homeowner list for any community vote or mailings.

Election Committee Message
Our HOA has several annual and periodic votes that are necessary to run our association, i.e., Board of Directors, CC&R Changes, Board Proposals, etc.. Based on our recent voting history, only around 50% of our homeowners vote. The Elections Committee has tried over the past couple of years to make it easier for homeowners to vote, by establishing an electronic voting system. A homeowner may vote electronically, from home or away, if they have a computer and an email address. Voting by paper ballot also remains in place.
The Election Committee would like to understand what changes might be possible to the voting process to encourage homeowners to vote. As a result, the Election Committee is planning to send out a survey to all homeowners to get your thoughts about what you like, or don’t like, about the voting process. They also will be asking those who do not vote as to the reason(s) why. Every vote that is taken is important, and we want all voices to be heard.

Golf Carts
We have received “near miss” reports from several golf cart drivers. Drivers in automobiles are tailgating and passing very close to the carts. We are moving towards the busiest time of the year where you will inevitably cross paths with more walkers, bikers, and golf carts.

Walkers, walk facing traffic so you can see the cars, golf carts, and bikes coming towards you, and wear light colored clothing.

Bikers and golf carts, ride with traffic. Keep to the right so automobiles can pass you. Please be aware of walkers who may be on the same path.

Exterior Home Updates / Remodeling
Please contact our HOA Community Services Department regarding any work being planned for the exterior of your home, including paint, new landscaping, hard scaping, etc.
Appointment requests and questions may be directed to our Community Services Office at 480.802.2776. Office hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm (closed for lunch 12:00pm - 12:30pm).

Fitness Class Enthusiasts | IMPORTANT Registration Process Update
We have made changes to our fitness class registration process. In simple terms, we have expanded the online, self-registration window to eight (8) days in advance instead of seven days. Phone calls (480.802.6853) and in-person registration will be seven (7) days in advance, up until the registration window closes. Remember that when you register for classes, you must complete the process by SAVING your registration request.
There will still be support at our front desk, as we will take phone call registration and in-person registration. It is in every Member’s best interest to learn about the online registration and get yourself engaged in the process of signing yourself up online.
Many of our classes are very popular and can fill up quickly. Some classes fill up on the same day. The online registration lets you sign up early and control your registration process. You can see what is open and can cancel your own class.
We have been implementing the wait list system the last few weeks and are adjusting to as many issues as we can. If you are on the wait list and an opening comes up, you will be automatically moved to the class and notified via email. This new email will be your confirmation email for the class. Remember to keep an eye on your Junk/Spam folders, just in case emails end up there.
Members can help by cancelling their registration as soon as they know they will not be attending the class. To cancel a class online, go to the calendar, click on your class, then click on your registration, and at the bottom of the page there will be a "cancel" link.
Our goal, as always, is to provide the best wellness and fitness opportunities for our Members. We have a great lineup of classes, with new classes and times being offered in September.

If You Use Zelle to Send Money, Beware of This Scam
While your bank may text you to validate unusual activity, they will never contact you to send money to yourself or someone else, or to request a code.
Be wary if you receive a text message that looks like a fraud alert from your bank about unusual activity. The text may look something like "Did you make a purchase of $100.00 at ABC merchant?"

If you respond to the text, you have now engaged the scammer and will receive a call from a number that appears to be from a bank.

They'll appear to be a representative from a bank and will offer to help stop the alleged fraud by asking you to send money to yourself with Zelle®.

The scammer will ask you for a one-time code you just received from a bank.
-
If you give them the code, they will use it to enroll their bank account with Zelle® using your email or phone number. The scammer now has the ability to receive your money into their account.
Protect Yourself: Do not trust caller ID. Do not share any codes, and do not be pressured to act immediately.
