Insect Infecting Plants
The yellow bells and other plant species all around the community have been attacked by an insect known as a leaf roller. Click here (PDF) for information about this pest and the best way to combat them.
The cutting back of shrubs is necessary to help eliminate the pest and attempt to save the plants. If the insect is not gone after cutting back the plants, replacements will be installed. However, we would like to give these plants some time to try to rejuvenate themselves.

Comment Card Overview
We had a total of 27 comment cards submitted; 4 were positive; 1 negative, and the remaining neutral.
Topics included trash, Ironwood, and the FACE fund votes for the neutral comments. Positives came in for Kyle who helped a lost dog recently; Heather continues to get positive feedback. Trivia and the website received positive shout-outs as well. The negative comment came in for landscaping and the standing water on the walking path causing it to be slippery and potentially causing a fall.
If you have a landscaping request or comment, please feel free to fill out a comment card, here.
Please note: All comment cards are forwarded to the Board, Management, and the appropriate department head for follow up. We have had feedback saying we “don’t track negative comments.” We can assure you, we track all comments as well as the follow up.
To better understand how we categorize our comment cards, here is our reasoning: The difference between "neutral" and "negative" is that a neutral comment is your opinion, such as, “I don’t like the plans for Grill on the Green” or “I don’t like the new salt shakers.” While you may not like it, others may. A negative comment card is coded as such when it is factual and actionable such as, “I received poor service,” or “my food was cold." Both of these can be corrected with additional training, follow up, or fixing a piece of equipment.
We hope this helps, and we want to thank everyone who continues to provide valuable feedback via the comment card system.

While there, you can get a temporary gate pass code if your paperwork hasn’t been processed over from the title company. Once Patrol receives notification of all your paperwork transitioning and that you are in the system, they will call you to set up a time to issue your gate passes, homeowner cards, etc.
Call Patrol at 480.802.4937. Alternatively, Mobile Patrol can be reached at 480.797.6508.

Patrol Wants to Help Keep Your Pets Safe
Fill out this form (PDF) and send it to Patrol, along with a photo of your pet. If your pet escapes, this may help get them home faster. In the past two weeks, the Patrol team has found two pups running free. One was returned home and the other was being checked for a microchip.

Dog Treats and Toys Donation Drive | Donations Accepted Through Tomorrow
Now through September 10th, we will be collecting items for Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. They are most in need of durable enrichment items for the pups while they remain in their kennels for longer periods of time due to a distemper outbreak in the shelter. Items such as bully sticks and pork chomps are needed most, as well as long-lasting toys! Of course, regular treats, toys, and other pet supplies are appreciated. Drop off donations to the Oakwood Clubhouse lobby, and we'll get them to our furry friends!
