They will continue to move throughout the community. If you have flags in your yard from the Cox work and you are NOT having work done, please remove them and throw them away.

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

This annual event is taking place this Saturday, May 13th, all across the United States. It's been taking place for the last 30 years, and has become one of the largest one-day food drives in the country.  All you have to do is leave a non-perishable food item next to your mailbox. Your postal carrier will pick it up when they deliver your mail.

According to Feeding America, over 42 million people in the United States lack reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food. Make a difference! Clean out those pantries and leave those items by your mailbox to help Stamp Out Hunger!

Holiday Trash Schedule Guidelines

If the service day (residential or bulk) falls on a holiday including Memorial Day, Labor Day, MLK Day, Presidents Day, or Veterans Day, the pickup schedule is NOT affected. Chandler (Unit 33) residents have the same schedule with the addition of the fourth of July not being effected by the holiday. Please set your carts out on regular day of service.

If your trash/recycling pickup schedule is affected by a holiday such as the Fourth of July, your trash / recycling will be picked up the following day (see chart above).

Pet of the Week: Meet Taylor!

In honor of Mother's Day, we would love to share a special mama dog named Taylor. She's made a long journey to find her forever home. This sweet, 2-year-old Labrador Retriever mix was pregnant when she was found as a stray near Tulsa, Oklahoma. The shelter there didn't have room for her and her growing litter of puppies, so the Arizona Humane Society's Project Reachout brought her all the way to Arizona to start a new life! Shortly after Taylor arrived, she welcomed 10 adorable puppies. Taylor and her puppies were placed in a Foster Hero home where her puppies could grow big and strong. Now that her puppies are big enough to find homes of their own, it's Taylor's turn to find the perfect match. She would love to find a loving family to give her all the belly rubs she deserves. She is a large dog, so she would love a home with a yard where she can stretch her legs. Right now, adoption fees for Taylor and all of AHS' adoptable pets are totally free until Monday, May 15th. Learn more about Taylor and the rest of AHS' adoptable pets at AZHumane.org/adopt.
