This event will be held at 10440 E. Riggs Rd (Alma School and Riggs Rd). Limit two boxes to be shredded per household. Place items in your trunk and stay in your car and the team will remove the items from your trunk. Liquid medicines are NOT being accepted.  You do NOT need to take medications out of their bottles.

Spring turf transition is upon us. Homeowners will notice a variety of techniques taking place to transition from the winter ryegrass to Bermuda grass. Learn more.

Some Sun Lakes residents are using the Risen Savior Lutheran Church driveway to go between Oakwood Hills Dr and Safeway Plaza, which has not been a problem up to now. But due to the utility construction on Chandler Heights and Alma School Rd, there is now a "No Left Turn" sign for cars wanting to turn left from Chandler Heights onto south Alma School Rd. As a result, most traffic wanting to turn left onto south Alma School Rd go across Alma School Rd and make a left turn into the driveway of Risen Savior Lutheran Church to access Alma School. This has greatly increased the volume of traffic across the front of their Worship Center. Too many cars speed through the lot, and there have been some close calls with church staff going between their Administration building and the North Worship Center. As a result, the construction company doesn't feel this is safe anymore, and has placed barriers at each end of the driveway. Once construction is finished and all turns have been normalized, Risen Savior will review their next steps.

Please plan to use another pool April 19th-23rd while work is being conducted on the Ironwood Pool.

The Oakwood Pool will be closed on April 25th for the day, to do core drilling on the pool deck. The pool will be closed for the entire day. Once cores are drilled, the areas will be marked with cones. Please avoid these areas.

One look at this adorable American Pit Bull Terrier’s face and you’ll see why the name "Smudge" is so appropriate. Like several pets in our care, Smudge came to the Arizona Humane Society as an injured stray. Following some attention for an ear infection in our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™, however, he was all ready to find his future home. This extremely friendly 12-week-old has since made his way to the adoption floor at the Petsmart at Old Town Scottsdale, where he’s been the recipient of lots of love, hugs, and kisses. Despite being in several brand new environments with lots of new people, Smudge has made everybody at AHS feel as if he’s known them for years. If you’re looking for a friendly pup to make you feel like the center of the world, look no further!
