The Committee surveyed the community to try and determine what could be improved or updated to increase the number of homeowners who vote in community elections/decisions. The results were interesting, and the Committee will be working on these suggestions prior to the next election. If you have any suggestions on increasing participation in the votes, email us here.

IronOaks Improved Wi-Fi Access in the Paint Room

The location of the "access point" was a bit too far for a good connection. Cabling and a new access point were installed, providing a stronger internet connection for painting groups to be able to access online courses. The internet password is "ironoaks" (all lowercase). Enjoy the improved connection!

Unit 36 Residents

Judy Sadkin, Unit Captain, is having many of her emails being rejected when sending out community information. She is concerned she is not reaching all of the residents in her area. If you have not received a communication from Judy in the last few weeks, please send her an email with your Lot Number.

The Master Planning Committee Had a Productive April Meeting

Three facility/amenity renovations in the project initiation process were submitted from the Master Planning Committee to the HOA Board of Directors as “RBA”s (Request for Board Action).  The Board approved those three RBAs at the March 22nd Board Meeting, to move those projects forward. With homeowner feedback, those projects are planned to stage in as:

  • Phase 2-A for the Oakwood golf patio extension
  • Phase 2-B for the interior redesign of Poolside
  • Phase 2-C for main pools, on hold pending an engineering study

In keeping with the Project Process initiation guidelines, the revised conceptual drawings for Phase 2-A and 2-B received secondary approval at the April 11th MPC meeting. Next, the Building and Grounds Committee and the Finance Committee will review for a secondary approval. Plans for these projects will be reviewed again for further homeowner feedback.

Phase 3 for the Wellness/Fitness center is in process, with homeowner focus groups to be scheduled in the fall.

Also at the meeting, an extensive study was presented on homeownership in local 55+ communities. We will be excited to share parts of the study with homeowners, supporting important reasons IronOaks invests in continual improvements. (Please see the April 11, 2023 MPC meeting video and minutes on IronOaksAZ.com.)

Meet Seraphine!

This incredibly sweet Domestic Shorthair named Seraphine came into our care under the saddest of circumstances, but we are all doing our best to secure her a great future. After her previous owner was hospitalized and realized they could no longer give this 10-year-old the love and affection she deserves, they turned to the Arizona Humane Society for help. Seraphine is a perfect lap cat, who loves to get attention. She also wouldn’t mind a nice cat tree she could snooze on from time to time. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery, current vaccinations, a microchip and a free follow-up wellness exam with a VCA Animal Hospital. Visit AZHumane.org/adopt to choose one of three convenient ways to adopt based on your schedule.
