Crime | Suspicious Activity

Are you the potential victim of a crime? The FIRST call you need to make is to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office at 602.876.1000 (Oakwood & certain sections of Ironwood). If you live in Unit 33 in Ironwood, call the Chandler Police Department at 480.782.4900.

Your Patrol team can only observe and document. They are unable to take any other action.

Dollars & Sense

Get a feel for how the community is doing financially. This document (PDF) lists each of the departments and graphically breaks down how each is performing month-to-date and year-to-date.

Golf Course is ONLY for Golf

While the weather is beautiful and the green grass of the golf course is tempting, especially if you live in one of the homes on the course, please remember that walking, jogging, or biking on the course, with or without your pet, is NEVER allowed.

Golf balls travel at speeds that can exceed 100 mph. Golf cart paths are in-bounds for golfers, and it is likely that a ball could be hit in the area. Also, chemicals used on the course could be harmful, so unless you are a paying player, please stay off the courses at all times.

COVID 19 Vaccinations

If you need assistance getting an appointment and/or understanding the various options, please click on a name below to email them. Provide your name, address, phone number, and birth date. They will coordinate to have whoever is available return your call as soon as their schedule allows.

Updated instructions on booking an appointment can be found here. (PDF)

Comment Card Overview

We had a total of 37 comment cards this week: 8 positive, 6 negative, and 23 neutral. Positives included rave reviews for the Stone & Barrel hostesses. They are always friendly and cheerful. We also heard positive comments for the schnitzel, a “Good job Corinna!” for assisting with a gate issue, and a compliment for the BlueStar Landscaping team.

Neutral comments included no consistent theme, but there were a few asking to lift mask requirements for various activities.

Negative comments came in regarding the strategic session held on Tuesday afternoon. Grill on the Green had a negative review of the fish and chips dinner and slow service.

As a reminder, each comment card is sent to the appropriate department, General Manager, and the Board. The submissions are reviewed and responded to by the department head and, occasionally, the General Manager. An individual from the Board will not respond to comments. They track these for discussion items for their Board Workshop.

Thank You from the Food & Beverage Team!

The entire Food & Beverage Team would like to thank all of our residents. You have supported them by dining in our restaurants and taking food out via our curbside service. Your generosity supports management's efforts to retain these amazing employees, and we all appreciate you!

DEPARTMENT UPDATES

Architecture & Landscape Department (ALD)

Please plan ahead and call the ALD office prior to having work done on your home. They will work with you to secure the appropriate permits to display. Permits are on brightly colored paper to ensure being seen from the street. Failure to post a work permit could result in a fine. For a complete list of permits and their appropriate applications, click here, login, and you will be taken to the appropriate area.

Architecture & Landscape Department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm (closed from 12:00pm - 12:30pm for lunch).

Patrol

Patrol Gate Access | Please do not share the access code issued by the Patrol Office with vendors and guests. This code, while universal, is only being used until the gates are all on one system. Most importantly, vendors and guests need to be entering the community via the EJ Robson, Sun Lakes, and/or Halley Welcome Centers so that they can be logged in. This is for the safety and security of the entire community.

Cones | Mobile Patrol will no longer be taking refundable deposits for safety cones. Instead, disposable cones are available for purchase from the Patrol or ALD Offices for $20 for a set of two.

Patrol is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm (closed from 12:00pm to 12:30pm for lunch). To make an appointment, please call 480.802.4937. Mobile Patrol can be reached at 480.797.6508.
