COMMUNITY UPDATES

Clubs Updated

Help us promote your club! On the Lifestyle page of our website, you will find the various IronOaks and Sun Lakes clubs.

Currently, you will see the Club Name, Club Description, and Contact Information. We would like to add your meeting information. Please email us with the timing of your club meeting each month, and any relevant information, such as meeting location. This information will be updated on our website and will also be displayed on the TV at the Arts & Crafts Building very soon.

Example: Ukulele Club meets every 3rd Wednesday in the IronOaks Craft room.

Golf Cart Parking

Parking can be a challenge throughout IronOaks on a beautiful day when everyone ventures out to play a sport, enjoy lunch, or attend an event.

Here are some tips for golf cart drivers:

  1. Spots with the short line in the middle are designated for two golf carts to park (Photo 1).
  2. If a parking space without the short line is not available, please feel free to park in a regular spot for cars, but pull to one side, so another cart may park beside you.
  3. There is also a new area on the north side of the Clubhouse (Photo 2). These spots are great because you can pull off the walking path and access any of the 17 spots by driving behind the carts already parked.
  4. Golf cart spots are provided in every area where you find an amenity. Check them out, and let’s all park to utilize the space for everyone’s benefit.
  5. Please note there are "No Parking" areas. We appreciate everyone observing these areas in an effort to keep all of our residents safe. (Photo 3)

Master Planning Committee Rolls Out Informational Sessions

Throughout April, Master Planning will be hosting information sessions to educate our residents on improvements they would like, how they would be funded, and what, exactly, is included. All the sessions are the same, and you only need to attend one to get the facts.

Be on the lookout each Friday for a series of newsletters called “Fact vs. Fiction." Here are the dates for the information sessions:

  • Monday, April 4th, 3:00pm (Zoom only - Link is available at IronOaksAZ.com)
  • Tuesday, April 5th, 9:00am | Ballroom
  • Wednesday, April 13th, 6:00pm | Ballroom
  • Thursday, April 14th, 4:00pm (Zoom only, with link to follow)
  • Friday, April 15th, 9:00am | Ballroom

Email [email protected] if you have any questions.

Age Verification Request Form

You can now find this form on IronOaksAZ.com. After you log in, go to "HOA" at the top of the page. Look for "Departments and Forms."  Once on that page, look for "ALD." Here you will see all the forms available. "Age Verification" is on the list. Once filled out, click “Submit,” and you are done.

Comment Card Overview

For Comment Cards in this past week, we had 6 positive, 12 negative, and 16 neutral comments come in. Comments received included (with our responses in italics):

  • "Please reconsider putting on hold any renovations due to how unstable the economy is."
  • "Traffic on E Champagne is heavy at times, please add a speed bump." - A traffic study was completed and is being reviewed by the Buildings and Grounds committee.
  • "Love the fitness class with Heather. Norma did a great job subbing for Heather."
  • "Bee Gees were a terrible group, please do not invite them back." - Thank you, we actually heard both positive and negative comments. This group will not be back.
  • "Ran out of corn beef cabbage before 6:30pm on St. Patrick’s Day." - Turnout for the special that day was unprecedented. We so much appreciate the support of our residents and apologize for running out early.
  • "Tailgating at Champagne gate and a homeless person seen entering the community at Diamond gate." - Patrol has been notified.
  • "Please do something to stop the rabbits from chewing up HOA lawn." - There are products on the market to deter rabbits. We are looking into them, but understand the HOA is huge and this could be cost prohibitive. We do have predators that assist in keeping the rabbit population under control.

If you have a comment that may apply to two areas, you only need to submit one comment. The Board is copied on all comments.

Comment cards are available online, here.
