COMMUNITY UPDATES

Homeowner Security Survey

Maintaining the right sense of security is of highest priority for community management. After all, the 2021 Homeowners Satisfaction Survey indicated that a top reason why homeowners purchased homes in IronOaks was due to it being a gated community! Management has been working with a security consulting firm over the last several months to help us identify areas that might need improvement. We know what changes we should implement, but before we make those recommendations to the Board, we want to be sure those changes also address current homeowner concerns. Therefore, we have developed a Survey to help us gather this information in a very simple form.

We want to hear from you! Kindly take a few minutes, before March 12th, and submit your responses to the Survey questions. We would truly appreciate everyone’s participation.

Take the Survey now!

Age Verification Request

Living in a community like IronOaks at Sun Lakes has many advantages. One of those advantages is that IronOaks at Sun Lakes is an age-restricted community. As an age restricted community, IronOaks at Sun Lakes is required, by the Housing of Older Persons Act (HOPA), to validate that at least 80% of all the homes in the Community are occupied by at least one person 55 years of age or older.

Please take a moment to fill out this form (PDF) and return it via the instructions listed.

Thank you to everyone who has filled it out so far!

Clubs Updated

Help us promote your club! On the Lifestyle page of our website, you will find the various IronOaks and Sun Lakes clubs.

Currently, you will see the Club Name, Club Description, and Contact Information. We would like to add your meeting information. Please email us with the timing each month of your club meeting, and any relevant information, such as meeting location. This information will be updated on our website and will also be displayed on the TV at the Arts & Crafts Building very soon.

Example: Ukulele Club meets every 3rd Wednesday in the IronOaks Craft room.

Security

Studies have shown that the vast majority of vehicles burglarized or stolen have been left unlocked. Don’t be the next victim.

Here are several simple steps that everyone should follow:

  • Always lock your vehicle, even when it’s parked in your driveway or garage.
  • Always take your keys or fob with you.
  • Never leave or hide a smart key, valet key, or spare key anywhere in or on your vehicle, no matter where you park it.
  • Never leave your car running while unattended or unlocked.
  • If possible, park your vehicle in a locked garage.
  • Park in well-lit areas.
  • Keep the exterior of homes and driveways well illuminated.
  • Close all your vehicle’s windows completely when parked.
  • Consider installing a GPS system, a visible anti-theft device, or an audible alarm.
  • Never leave valuable personal property in your vehicle.
  • Also, secure the transmitter for your garage door opener to prevent access to your home.

Pay careful attention when you leave your vehicle and when you return to it. Watch for people lurking or stalking nearby. You do not want to be their next victim. Absentmindedly talking on your cell phone instead of being alert makes you a soft target for crime.
