The Lakes course will be closing this summer for the anticipated main line and turf reduction work per RBA23-054. Closure is slated for May 6th through overseed. Course will reopen November 7th. Golf Shop Patio

Wednesday and Thursday this week, additional inspections were done of the footings. Once these are approved, the patio will begin to be built up. We are anticipating an opening date of mid to late April to begin enjoyment of this area.

Grill on the Green Music Update

It was determined that Grill on the Green is under Chandler jurisdiction (versus Maricopa County). We are working with a licensing attorney who has made these recommendations:

  1. Keep live music inside.
  2. A decibel reader will monitor the sound level with bands knowing they cannot exceed a reading higher than 90.
  3. We are looking at a special permit and zoning change similar to Stone & Barrel for events.
  4. Music will be played from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.

Anticipated return of live music is Friday, March 1st.

Jason Morton Tennis Tournament

From February 29th through March 3rd, 2024, the Jason Morton Tennis Tournament will be here at the IronOaks Tennis courts.  Please join us for some amazing players and volleys as they compete in this prize money USTA-sanctioned tournament. Be aware if you are around the tennis courts and the Oakwood Clubhouse, traffic will be heavy and you may need to allow more time to find parking. Also, the Ironwood courts will be reserved for tournament play during this time. Be patient and be aware of the many people walking through the parking lot and surrounding area.

Java With John
