Java with John

In this week's Java with John, General Manager John Reyhons revisits the Ironwood Clubhouse to discuss the new menu and hours for Grill on the Green. He also reminds us that the Strategic Survey is out, and while we have had over 2,000 submissions, we need EVERYONE’S opinions to be heard. Plus, Amenity Memberships continue to be sold, and John spreads the word about the Lifestyle Membership, where you can get involved with all of the amenities—golf, tennis, pickleball, and fitness.

Maricopa County COVID-19 Vaccine Update:

We have worked with several groups and we know that the website to make appointments is somewhat cumbersome. Click here (PDF) for a step-by-step guide.

We have also heard:

  • It looks like the vaccine will open up to those 65 years of age or older beginning at 9:00am on January 19th.
  • Many 75+ residents who tried to register early for their vaccine were successful, so it wouldn’t hurt for 65+ residents to try, too.
  • You can register online here.
  • You can register for yourself and for someone else.
  • Be sure to finish scheduling your appointment by clicking “Book Appointment." You will receive an email confirmation.
  • The location at 2626 E Pecos Road is NOT the hospital. It is at Chandler Gilbert Community College.
  • The location with available appointments is currently the State Farm Glendale Stadium, and they recently added Phoenix Municipal Stadium near Mill and Priest Roads.
  • You will remain in your car to get the shot.
  • You will be required to remain in the parking lot with your window down for 15 minutes to ensure that you do not have a reaction.

If you need additional assistance or are still having issues, please email Candy Clark or Judy Gahide.  Provide your name and phone number and one of them will call you to assist when they are able. Please be ready to log on to your computer. Have your Medicare or Medicaid card available, as you will need this information to get an appointment.

2021 HOA Dues

The deadline to pay is January 31, 2021. Log in to the community website to find sample statements and guides on how to pay. Look for “HOA Assessment Information” on the homepage.

HOA Assessment Billing | Consider Going Paperless!

We are continuing to take paperless statement requests. If you previously received your statements via email, we need you to resubmit your request to continue to receive them electronically. The state requires HOAs to receive specific approval to opt out of paper statements.

You can opt out of future statement mailings and go paperless by signing up online. Log in using your community website login credentials. If you are unable to log in, but would like to participate, please reach out via email.

Amenity Memberships Available for Purchase!

We don’t want you to miss a minute of the fun—so if you are going to purchase a membership for Fitness, Golf, Pickleball, Softball, or Tennis, NOW is the time! Log into the community website and look for "2021 Amenities on Sale Now." If you have problems logging in, please contact Communications at 480.317.3620.

DEPARTMENT UPDATES

Comment Card Overview

We had a total of 19 comment cards submitted for the week, with 5 positive comments saying Pickleball Pro Chris Hall is a great addition to the team.  The remaining were neutral with no centralized theme.

Patrol Update

If you still need to drop off your vehicle device information, there is a drop box outside the Patrol office.  If the office needs additional information, they will call you. View the form and device information here. (PDF)

If you are calling the Patrol office, please call once and leave a message if someone does not pick up your call.  They are busy with appointments and other calls. Leave the following details when you call: your name, your phone number, and briefly the reason for your call. Someone will return your call shortly.

Gate Codes | Restoring the gate codes is a work in progress. New software was installed in October and information was uploaded, but did not transfer properly. Shortly after discovering the issues, COVID infected the Patrol office, delaying the process of correcting the data. The Patrol is working daily to correct the data and as soon as the homeowner codes are active, an announcement will be sent to the community.

Patrol is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm (closed from 12:00pm to 12:30pm for lunch). To make an appointment, please call 480.802.4937. Mobile Patrol can be reached at 480.797.6508.

No one will be allowed to enter the office without a mask and an appointment. Thank you.

ALD | Why Do I Need a Permit?

Planning on some exterior home remodeling? Check with this department first to make sure the work complies with the established guidelines. You may also need a permit. View a detailed list of items and work requiring a permit here. (PDF)

Still not sure? Give them a call before you have any exterior work started on your home.

Architecture & Landscape Department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm (closed from 12:00pm - 12:30pm for lunch).

Please call 480.802.2776 to schedule an appointment.
