Crystal Award Winners

Congratulations are in order for the Sun Lakes winners of the Crystal Award. The Crystal Award recognizes those in our community who serve others and make Sun Lakes a better place. A banquet will be held in their honor on March 10th at 5:00pm. Tickets go on sale January 17th at the Sun Lakes Country Club. Tickets are $35 and can be paid for by check or cash.

Gate Update

Halley Gate is having intermittent problems with the windshield device reader. If you need assistance entering after 8:00pm, please call Patrol by dialing 1000 from the call box. Our vendor was out Thursday morning, and it is functioning. They also checked the N. Dobson exit gate arm. The exit needs a new “loop”. This is what senses when a vehicle is exiting, and triggers the arm to lift.

New Year's Eve Photos Available

New Year's Eve photos are available for anyone who took a picture prior to the event with our photographer. They can be picked up at the Oakwood Clubhouse from the table in the Lobby.

Traffic Calming Implementation

Work continues for the next week. Next on the project is the Berrybrook crosswalk and the Villas. Look for changes including new golf cart and pedestrian crossing signs, signage, markings in the Clubhouse parking lot, and other traffic-calming signage. Use caution and slow down when workers are present.

PET OF THE WEEK

Halloween is an 11-year-old, black domestic medium hair cat. This 11-pound boy is just about the sweetest cat you will ever find. Halloween loves to walk right up to everyone he meets and rub his head on them - the ultimate sign of kitty love! He is looking for a nice quiet home where he can receive lots of snuggles with his new family.

Halloween does have a medical disclosure for a sensitive tummy, recent dental extractions that are healing, and Giardia. Our medical staff has been taking great care of Halloween and he should make a full recovery in no time!
