ASA Now is a non-profit organization that ADVOCATES for, SUPPORTS, and ASSISTS children and families impacted by foster care. We are passionate about providing support to families and professionals by restoring hope and empowering them to better serve these children in need.
Services we offer include tutoring & extra- curricular activities, food pantry, clothing & meeting basic necessities. Life skills for youth, respite care, therapeutic programs, family activities, peer-to-peer support groups, education and training on utilizing Jacob's Law to obtain behavioral health services, providing resources to families and caregivers on successfully navigating the foster care system, raising awareness, recruiting new foster families, and advocating for families and their children.
At ASA Now, we aim to rebuild hope where it's been damaged or lost. Our mission is to support and strengthen the most vulnerable population by providing the necessary education and skills needed to flourish and thrive.
We firmly believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and if you work on creating the best, well equipped society you can, so many problems simply work themselves out.

Is there a limit to what I can bring? Yes – no more than 4 grocery sack bags or 4 boxes.
What is not accepted? Phone books, newspaper, store receipts (basically anything that can be recycled). Only bring those documents that contain financial and personal information that require shredding. Please remove any metal including staples.
Can I expect a wait? Possibly. We will get you through as quickly as possible. Please be patient with us and other homeowners. This is a free service only to Ironwood and Oakwood homeowners sponsored by The Kolb Team Real Estate Group.
Do I need to register for the IronOaks Shred-a-Thon 2020? No, just come on the day of the event. The truck does not arrive early, so will not start until 8 am. And we go until 11 am or until the truck is full, whichever comes first.

AZCend Water & Food Drive by Kathy Heinemann, Realtor with Realty Executives | November 9-16 | Boxes will be located in the Fitness Center, Oakwood Golf Shop and the Oakwood Clubhouse. Please go through those pantries and consider all those bulk items you picked up during the pandemic. Could someone else use them? Bring them down and help a local community food bank stock their shelves for families in need.

Karen brings to IronOaks a wealth of experience in special events, catering and convention services working for venues including the Wrigley Mansion. In her previous career, she managed creative event teams making the valley's top society pages.
Since joining us in 2016, Karen has created dynamic events where long lasting friendships and memories are made. Wine tasting events, day trips, educational series and even bi-annual pet adoption events are just a few of the events enriching the lives of our residents. She loves having our residents experience the local culture and venues as well as producing themed events, concerts and social hours.
If you want to get involved and you have great ideas, Karen hosts a monthly Coffee Talk the first Friday of every month to gain insight and suggestions.
