We are aware that these changes will create a negative financial impact to the Homeowners Association. The Board of Directors has placed all capital improvements and reserve funding items on hold until we can regain our financial footing. The Board will not provide any financial remuneration to Homeowners (e.g. Amenity Fees), during this temporary closure.
Please continue to be vigilant, as this virus seems to be especially worrisome for those over 60 years of age. Use the following precautions:
Wash hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer (20 seconds).
Do NOT shake hands or hug.
Cover mouth and nose with elbow or tissue when you cough.
Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with your dirty hands.
Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick.
Clean and disinfect surfaces.
Stay home if you are sick.
Avoid travel (European travel ban in place for the next 30 days).
Wearing a facemask is a personal preference.
Maintain physical/social distancing of six feet
Be cognizant of social gatherings and the potential impact on you and your guests
In addition, our teams are continuing to take extra precautions to ensure commonly touched surfaces such as countertops, door handles, tables, railings, restroom items, tables & chairs, etc. are cleaned and sanitized frequently. Toilet tissue and sanitizer products will be well stocked. We have also increased our Housekeeping Team, to clean all commonly used areas repeatedly throughout each day.
We are asking our residents and employees to self-monitor themselves and be aware that symptoms/signs of virus may appear from 2 to 14 days after exposure:
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Contact your medical provider if you have symptoms or have been exposed. Call them prior to going to their office, and inform them about your symptoms, as they might not want you to come to their office.
If anyone in our community tests positive for COVID-19, it is recommended they contact the Association. (Any information pertaining to this disclosure would remain confidential.)
Visit The Centers for Disease Control website for more information on the Coronavirus, including what you should know about symptoms, treatments, testing, and other frequently asked questions.
We will continue to provide regular updates via all of our communication tools, including the website, Unit Captains, emails, text messages, signs, and other channels.
We greatly appreciate your cooperation during this very challenging time. Everyone must be responsible for their own actions that could affect everyone else in our Sun Lakes Communities.
